Our client is an international multi-disciplinary consultancy based in Malta. Due to continued expansion of the building services team, an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer is required to:

Design and supervise main services in new or existing buildings, including all equipment and materials involved with heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, water supply, sanitation, public health, fire protection and safety systems.

Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop and manage new technologies that integrate into existing systems
• Lead M&E project assignments and tasks
• Assist in payment applications, variations and claims
• Monitor and maintain building systems and processes, specifying maintenance and operating procedures
• Witness test and commission M&E systems
• Ensure that proper ’As Built’ documentation is provided by contractors
• Ensure Quality Assurance throughout the lifecycle of projects, resolving issues as they arise
• Inspect and supervise projects on sites to ensure compliance with the contract documents, legislations, company and professional standards, health and safety protocols and codes of practice.
• Ensure that all Building Services aspects of the project are properly managed and controlled.

Talent will:

• Hold a Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Demonstrate experience in performing building services engineering including concept, scheme and detail design across a range of project complexities
• Have the ability to manage projects from design through to completion
• Possess excellent AutoCAD skills. Revit would be considered an asset
• Have excellent attention to detail and communication skills in English
