The position

By joining our team in Projects, Drilling & Procurement you will have the opportunity to:

  • Be a part of a highly skilled team within Mechanical Technology in Equinor’s Project Development organization. The department provides engineers to develop, mature and follow-up execution of investment projects.

  • Deliver as discipline lead or discipline engineer within mechanical equipment, primarily heavy rotating equipment.

  • Be a key resource in oil & gas and low-carbon solution projects on and offshore in all project phases, domestically and internationally.

    • For early-phase projects, support scoping and following up studies within mechanical discipline and maturation of mechanical deliveries as required per project phase.

    • During FEED and execution phase, follow-up Contractor(s)/Supplier(s) to ensure deliverables in line with scope of work, budget and schedule.

  • Ensure good cooperation between all stakeholders (Operation, Plant integrity, Contractor, and the professional ladder).

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree within Mechanical Engineering and minimum 7years relevant experience from early phase studies, concept studies, FEED and project detail engineering within the Energy sector. 

  • Candidates with proven track record in working as Package-Responsible Engineer with Turbomachineries (gas turbines and/or centrifugal compressors).

  • Experience from hydrogen and carbon capture and storage is an advantage. 

  • Flexibility towards traveling and mobility, depending on project.

  • Pro-active, open and flexible mindset. 

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and communication abilities. 

  • Ability to handle responsibility and a dynamic and busy work environment.

  • Fluent in English, written and spoken.
