MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN

The Mechanical Technician is responsible for providing repair and or testing of various equipment as per operational demand, improving efficiency and asset utilization. Roles and Responsibilities
- Execute and Close-Out Maintenance Work Order.
- Perform Maintenance Scheduling.
- Perform Equipment Initial Maintenance Evaluation.
- Reconcile Post Job Resources.
- Dispose Equipment.
- Work independently under minimal supervision on customer equipment.
- Perform dismantle, inspection, assembly, and testing of various types of valve assemblies.
- Responsible to support a continuous improvement culture, attend training programs, & initiatives.
- Actively engaged in a safe work environment as well as participate in a HSE culture (training, safety observations system, daily safety meetings)
- Responsible to implement reliability practices.
- Responsible for daily inspections of equipment, regular upkeep of various shop tools, reporting and scheduling of equipment in need of regular maintenance/repair.
- Responsible for a clean work area, care of and maintain hand tools.
- Utilize maintenance business systems to reach full cost, time, and equipment traceability for maintenance performance (movements, work orders, parts used and time to maintain).
- When relevant participate to failure investigations
- Follow fixed-step training program and ensure his/her training is on schedule and accurately recorded.
Minimum Job Qualifications
- Must have the minimum of a high school certification
- Preference of working in an industrial/manufacturing center
- Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- 2-year similar or relevant experience
- Mechanical experience preferred
- Previous experience with Hydraulic pump and/or Generator repair or Maintenace

- The compensation and reference to benefits for this role is listed on this posting in compliance with applicable law. The selected candidate’s compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, qualifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note that the compensation and benefits listed below are only applicable to successful candidates who are hired onto local United States payroll.
- At SLB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at/near the top of the range. The anticipated hourly salary rate is $20.00-$25.00.
