Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Mineral Resources Manager to lead and manage the Mineral Resource Management and Technical Services functions at operational level. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate resource definition, mine planning, ore control, reconciliation, and reserve optimisation, while translating geological and technical data into robust operational plans that support safe, compliant, and profitable mining.

Responsibilities:

• Accountable for Technical Services performance (Geology, Survey, Rock Engineering, Mine Planning, Valuation, Occupational Hygiene, Environment).
• Converts technical and geological data into business plans, while monitoring ore reserve depletion and operational performance.
• Operates at both strategic and operational levels.
• Ensure legal, SAMREC, MHSA, EMPR, SHE and Mining Charter compliance.
• Optimise ore flow, reserve extraction, ore accounting, sweeping and vamping.
• Lead mine planning, survey networks, stopped panel procedures, and trend analysis.
• Manage budgets, risk assessments, R&D initiatives, mineral rights, and servitudes.
• Drive capacity development and safety programmes across Technical Services.

Requirements:

• Mining-related qualification (NQF 6+), with Honours or Master’s preferred.
• Registered Competent Person (SAMREC / PLATO aligned).
• 10+ years mining management experience, including 5 years at management level in hard-rock mining.
• Strong capability in MRM systems, mine planning, project management, and industry software. 
• Analytical, disciplined, and performance driven.
• Emotionally mature, assertive leader.
• Self-starter with strong people leadership and decision-making ability.
