Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Mobile Crushers Specialist to oversee engineering maintenance and operational performance of mobile crushing units and associated equipment on site in West Africa.
Responsibilities:
- Managing operational performance of mobile crushing units and associated equipment, through effective engineering maintenance, mechanical inspections, troubleshooting and repairs.
- Implementing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to ensure optimal plant availability and efficiency.
- Conducting fault-finding, root cause analysis and failure investigations.
- Precision fitting, alignment, reassembly and maintenance of mobile crusher components.
- Carrying out inspections and services in line with maintenance schedules and OEM guidelines and keeping accurate records of these.
- Breakdown response to ensure minimal downtime and production loss.
- Recording of defects and raising work orders.
- Ensuring spares availability and replacements are aligned to OEM and quality standards.
- Continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Mentoring and training subordinates.
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
- Trade Certificate in Mechanical Fitting or similar field.
- Safety training advantageous.
- 10 years’ experience in maintenance within mining processing plant including shutdowns, with at least 5 years’ experience in mobile crusher maintenance related to concentrator plant equipment.
- Strong experience in investigating, diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical systems.
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Well-versed in hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
- Able to use advanced diagnostic tools to identify root causes of issues.
- Previous expatriate experience in West Africa or a third world country providing systematic coaching and training of local employees preferred.
