What role you will play in our team
ExxonMobil located in Spring, Texas, is seeking motivated, qualified and experienced individuals for physical natural gas trading roles within the dynamic U.S. natural gas market.
What you will do
- Create and capture value across the natural gas value chain value through commercial actions including sales, purchases and transport of natural gas
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, market participants and business partners
- Negotiate and execute related sales, purchase, transportation and service agreements consistent with commercial strategies
- Support development and implementation of marketing strategies and plans; support regional asset teams with investment and optimization decisions
- Strong team skills; ability to work across trade floor and across functional teams
- Ensure alignment and compliance with all relevant management systems and guidelines
- Work with Origination team to identify new customer business and asset opportunities
About you
Candidates should be self-motivated and focused on achieving business results through a multi-disciplinary team. Demonstrated teamwork, communication and leadership skills are essential. Candidate should be flexible with regard to domestic travel.
Skill requirements are as follows:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
- A minimum of 3 years relevant professional experience required
- Current experience and deep knowledge of regional North American gas markets and associated gas infrastructure
- Previous experience trading physical natural gas required; prior experience in financial trading preferred
- Knowledge of market fundamentals, transportation components, infrastructure, market participants, associated relevant regulations, and standard industry contracting practices
- Experience in negotiation, contract development, relationship management and risk management
- Strong value creation orientation and optimization skills
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Expertise in trading, fundamental analysis and scheduling preferred
