As the I&S New Energy Well Engineering CoE Leader, you will serve as the technical authority for all New Energy Well Engineering scopes within I&S. You will lead a global team responsible for developing technical standards, best practices, and integrated workflows for New Energy well design, planning, and operations. Your team will support global project execution and ensure consistent implementation of high‑quality engineering practices across CCUS, Geothermal, Lithium extraction, and Hydrogen well projects.
As an I&S New Energy Well Engineering CoE Leader, you will be responsible for:
Developing standards and best practices for all I&S New Energy Well Design, Planning, and Execution scopes
Building a central team of New Energy well engineers to support global project implementation
Collaborating with OFSE product lines to deliver best‑in‑class integrated solutions across CWI, WL, DCF, S&SPS, AL, and PE
Participating in industry groups to stay current on New Energy technologies and trends
Identifying 3PV scopes and partnering with Supply Chain to establish sourcing strategies
Building robust multi‑disciplinary workflows for well design, planning, and operational phases
Supporting the development of training and competency programs for New Energy well engineers
Ensuring technical solutions are in place for global onshore and offshore shallow‑water projects
Leading peer reviews and technical audits of global projects
Providing technical support to global I&S project teams
Supporting global teams with digital solution packages for New Energy Well Design
Collaborating with the I&S Wells Performance Lead on establishing KPIs and dashboards
Supporting I&S OFSE digital application development projects

To be successful in this role you will:
Have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, Energy, or Chemical Engineering — or relevant industry experience
Have 15+ years of oil & gas well engineering experience with comprehensive well design and operations expertise
Have 3+ years of Geothermal well design experience
Preferably have 3+ years of Geothermal project development and operations experience
Have 5+ years of people leadership experience
Have proven operational and engineering experience, including writing detailed operational procedures and conducting simulations (including casing design)

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a global matrix organization
Fluency in written and spoken English (Portuguese or Spanish is a plus)
