What you’ll do:
This role will ensure smooth, efficient operation of production facilities by maintaining equipment, collaborating across departments, and optimising processes. You will be responsible for executing corrective and scheduled tasks per the integrated activity plan and Area Team Leader direction, ensuring safety, cost-effectiveness, and quality to avoid rework.
Key accountabilities include:
- Maintain strong collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, Production Controllers, and interfacing departments.
- Liaise with Maintenance Support and Production Engineers to resolve issues proactively.
- Participate in planning and execution of scheduled shutdowns and manage unplanned or emergency shutdowns.
- Review and provide input into schedule builds to ensure accuracy and drive 100% schedule compliance.
- Perform routine plant and field tasks per daily, weekly, and monthly schedules using Operator Essential Care, including Reliability and Integrity Plans.
- Support the development and updating of standard operating procedures.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain production equipment to maximise performance, extend life, and prevent damage.
- Provide on-the-job training, mentor trainee’s and share knowledge.
- Respond promptly to critical equipment failures and ensure equipment reliability through regular maintenance and inspections.
- Identify and communicate cost-saving and process improvement opportunities.
- Utilise all required Santos IT systems (e.g. SAP, EHS Toolbox) for efficient operations.
- Adhere to Reliability and Integrity Management Plans and Emergency Response Plan.
- Perform additional duties as directed by the Area Team Leader.
What you’ll bring:
Dedicated work ethic with a determination to pursue exceptional results and demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across the various teams and disciplines.
You will be familiar with Permit to Work processes and equipment solutions (lock out, tag out), along with a competent use of Information Systems (Computer Software, including Microsoft Office Suite).
Additional Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Knowledge of computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) such as SAP.
- Familiar with engineering drawings and Management of Change processes.
- Previous experience in Oil & Gas Industry or similar.
- Trade Certificate in Instrument, Electrical or Mechanical Fitting.
- Cert III PMA08 Process Plant Operation or UEG30211 Certificate III in Gas Supply Industry Operations, or Cert IV PMA08 Process Plant Technology (or PMA 40113).
