ROLE SUMMARY

This role is accountable for the successful transformation of our global payroll processes and service including the transition to a global payroll vendor and the readiness for an ERP solution for HR. The role will deliver value for Seadrill in streamlining an outsourced provision for administrative activity and execution within the employee lifecycle. Through strong business partnerships with key stakeholders, they will understand the business needs and opportunities and manage the successful transition through our IT partners and vendors.

JOB SPECIFIC

  • Lead on behalf of HR, the transformation of our global payroll processes and services, identifying and delivering opportunities to simplify, streamline and optimise the end to end process
  • Manage the consolidation and transition of services to a single global payroll vendor
  • Lead the identification and planning for the payroll implications of transitioning to a new ERP solution to ensure readiness and a successful implementation
  • Responsible for the implementation and adoption of the associated change arising from the transformation projects working collaboratively across HR, Finance and other business stakeholders
  • Ability to seek direction as required but mainly work independently and co-operate with others / good team player
  • Develop and maintain a relationship with stakeholders and SMEs to understand business operations, procedures, and functions
  • Prepare presentations and briefings and attend meetings as needed and (or) required
  • Provide stakeholders and sponsors with information needed to help them meet their strategic and financial goals across a range of outsourcing initiatives
  • Identify and manage risks inherent in business processes and technology systems that support business objectives across the people agenda
  • Maintain required information in established tracking systems and shared drives to ensure transparency of contract status and business continuity
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions and budgets striving to ensure that pricing and resourcing are competitive partnering with Supply Chain and any third party utilised.
  • Minimize regulatory, legal, and financial risks to the business and ensure robust governance both during the process and beyond contractual award and implementation
  • Deliver quality contracts through close collaboration with partner functions
  • Ensure vendors are delivering to contract milestones and quality standards
  • Manage a strong partnership with ISIT and associated vendors to deliver the required HR process and technology support
  • Develop the capability within HR and the governance framework to effectively manage the ongoing performance on vendors and service providers
  • Maintain high standards of confidentiality, compliance, ensuring the maintenance of accurate employee and HR records, in line with Data Protection legislation, company directives and policies

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Highly experienced Global Payroll Leader with demonstrable transformation experience
  • Experience of implementation and business adoption of a Global vendor service, ensuring the adherence of statutory controls across global territories
  • Strong project and change management leadership experience
  • Experience leading demand management and partnering of service providers in IT and wider HR specialisms.
  • Excellent internal / external stakeholder management and communications skills, with demonstrable experience in managing external service providers
  • Continuous improvement mindset with ability to assess and improve current processes to best practice in global locations
  • Ability to work towards tight deadlines with high volumes and conflicting demands
  • Strong attention to detail, a logical approach, and the drive to complete a task/project to a high-quality standard
  • Understand the importance of a great employee experience within an organisation.
  • Self-motivated, well organised and can work with minimum supervision
  • Solution focused, with a proactive approach and ‘can do’ attitude
  • A strong and proactive communicator and business partner
  • Confident in working with standard office software such as Microsoft Office and have strong skills in Excel, Word and Powerpoint.

Desired

  • Experience of working within the HR function of an offshore drilling company or wider Energy Industry
  • Experienced in the delivery of global services across a range of HR functions.
  • Experience of working or leading the activities regarding ISO9001 or other quality disciplines

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred

  • Project management qualification
  • Lean / Six Sigma qualified
