In Singapore, we also own an extensive network of service stations under the Esso brand and supply cylinder cooking gas (LPG) to many households. We also supply the commercial market in Singapore and those around the region with industrial, aviation and marine fuels and lubricants, and market liquefied natural gas (LNG).

 

Position Title: Power Developer

 

What you will be doing:

 

•    Develop & support power-related projects, opportunities & technologies for upstream, downstream and chemicals value chains that promote ExxonMobil business objectives
•    Lead development of long-term power market studies and price outlooks
•    Develop & support commercial power agreements necessary for ExxonMobil’s upstream, downstream and chemicals business line strategies.
•    Support development, prioritization and selection of commercial, and as applicable, technical concepts, for new and existing assets 
•    Create and capture value across the value chain through appropriate commercial actions

 

What you should have:

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering – preferably Electrical, Chemical or Mechanical; other degrees will be considered commensurate with work experience
•    A minimum of 10 years’ relevant industry experience required; exceptional candidates with less experience may be considered
•    Experience in developing power projects for upstream, downstream & chemicals applications or for power producers/utility companies
•    Ability to negotiate long-term power purchase agreements or other power-related contracts
•    Ability to structure and develop the full value chain to enable gas/LNG into power sales
•    Knowledge of Asia Pacific power markets, market fundamentals, associated relevant regulations, and standard industry contracting practices
•    Knowledge of renewables is a plus
•    Experience in power plant technical design (primarily through pre-FEED stage) is a plus
•    Ability to run Thermoflow suite of tools (GTPRO, GTPEACE, GTMASTER) is a plus
