Principal Engineer – Electrical

Our team in London provide front-end studies, engineering, procurement and project management services for initiating and executing oil and gas field, HVDC, renewable energy and carbon capture developments. 

We are currently looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer to strengthen the team. 

What will you be doing?

• Responsible for delivering quality electrical engineering system studies
• Knowledge of electrical system in FEED and EP projects for both renewable and oil & gas projects
• Prepare electrical design basis & design philosophies
• Prepare Single Line Diagrams & electrical load list
• Carry out system studies associated with electrical system analysis; loadflow, short-circuit, harmonic, Arcflash and protection coordination
• Input and use of technical registers (COMOS, MIPS, Client systems, etc.)
• Interface coordination with other engineering disciplines and third parties.

We think you should have:

• Front End, FEED and EPC experience in the onshore/offshore oil & gas and/or renewable energy industry
• Sound knowledge of the relevant design codes
• Cross cultural attitude and ability to work across locations
• Ability to Build strong a network with the client, vendors and internally in the group, to enable a collaborative environment
• Hands on experience in system study tools such as ETAP
• Ability to manage and plan own work scope
