  • Responsible for setting up of PDMS / E3D system for projects in line with company and project procedures within the stipulated time while starting up the project, managing the PDMS / E3D system of various projects and continuous technical support.
  • Responsible for coordination with PDMS admin of Client and Subcontractors of the project.
  • Administration of the PDMS / E3D Model, customization to suit the project requirements and support to multi-discipline end users of the model.
  • Responsible for development and implementation of project specific Catalogues and Specifications for piping & pipe supports, structural, Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines in PDMS / E3D and setting up of project specific drawing templates in the drafting module of PDMS / E3D.
  • Make sure that the integrity of the 3D model database is well maintained and regular transfer of information from 3D model to other IT systems is functioning properly as expected.
  • Based on the client specifications, develop project specific modelling procedure, and set up the 3D model accordingly.  Conduct regular trainings to multi-discipline end users of the 3D model.
  • Work closely with the discipline leads of the projects to understand their requirements and address their demand on time. Develop macros (in PML) to automate tasks, to improve the efficiency and avoid human errors.
  • In case of any technical challenges, troubleshoot to resolve the issues on time.
  • Responsible for Clash/Inconsistencies management and Clash/ Inconsistency Reports. Clean up and preparation of the 3D model for Model reviews.
  • Be familiar with the workflows of all the IT systems implemented in the project. Be proactive and provide input to IT plan on time and highlight in advance if there are any technical challenges.
  • Coordinate actively with other offices, for the projects executed from multiple locations, attend meetings, and communicate effectively. Be flexible and ready to assume additional roles like CAD coordinator in a project.
  • Run System health check repots & liaise with discipline for its resolution as per QMS
  • Day to day User Support & System troubleshooting
  • Responsible for liaising with Engineering SMEs to identify project specific requirements & defining the Requirement Definition Specification.
  • Translate the project specific requirement specifications into Aveva and PDMS/E3D automation using the best practices defined by Aveva and Petrofac QMS (Quality Management System).
  • Interacting with discipline and manage customization priorities.
  • Train end users & rolling out the developments as standard methodology across projects and preparing relevant QMS procedures.
  • Manage the process of change with respect to Aveva and PDMS/E3D automation routines & carry out impact analysis prior to implementing the change and supporting end users for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process.
  • Provide clear plans and goal setting in managing the assigned activities.
  • Solve problems and troubleshooting on critical issues on PDMS and E3D projects.
  • Interface with Clients & JV partners to manage project delivery
  • Interacting with other team members and engineering SMEs regarding AVEVA PDMS / E3D administration and issues / requirements in terms of new or existing automation & system support.
  • Analyze the cases according to the QMS guidelines, resolve conflicts/issues and guide the design team.




  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree from an accredited College or University and having 5+ years of experience in PDMS/E3D administration.
  • 1-2 years of experience in PML programming.
  • Understanding of business processes from FEED to EPC and having worked in the oil and gas industry.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have business process know how in addition to the expertise with 3D tools.
  • Knowledge of engineering activities in relation to 3D systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of PDMS and E3D Administration, customization of catalogues, drawings, libraries, and standards.
  • Knowledge of DABACON data structure.
  • Programming expertise using PML, PML.NET.
  • Understanding of programming tools such as VB, C#, and SQL queries.
  • Knowledge of Aveva ERM, Navisworks, Tekla and its meta data.
  • Knowledge of CAD application such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, and systems such as smart plant tools.
  • Prioritization of business demand & Scheduling
  • Strong problem-solving capability with proactive and logical approach.
  • Shall possess strong inter-personal and communication skills and be able to work well with people at all levels in the organization.
