Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Process Superintendent from a background in gold processing within the mining sector to join their team on site in North Africa.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring availability, throughput and recovery targets are met.
• Quality control and ensuring standards are met through the monitoring of laboratory feedback and the implementation of corrective and improvement measures.
• Monitoring the production process to ensure operational and legal requirements are adhered to.
• Ensuring teams are dispatched to expedite repairs and maintenance swiftly.
• Troubleshooting and diagnosis of breakdowns to ensure adequate resource, spares and consumable availability.
• Work schedule planning in conjunction with engineering and process teams to ensure optimal equipment utilization.
• Continuous improvement initiatives.
• Production reports compilation and distribution.
• Budgeting and cost control.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Degree in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering from a recognized tertiary institution.
• 10 years’ experience in mineral process plant operations including at least 5 years in gold processing.
• 5 years’ experience in a senior leadership / management capacity.
• Well-versed in legal compliance and technical risk management.
• Maintenance management and project management knowledge.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Experience with budgeting and cost control.
• Computer literate on MS Office.
• Valid driver’s license.
