What you’ll do:
Based in Brisbane, the Project Procurement Lead is responsible for managing the engines, reciprocating compressors, wellsite maintenance, laboratory services and related portfolios for EAPNG procurement. This role plays a significant part in supporting the maintenance departments of GLNG Upstream, Cooper Upstream and PNG.
The Project Procurement Lead covers end-to end activities such as category plans development, sourcing strategies, tenders, recommendations for award, significant contract management (post-award) activity in cases of managing contractor performance in line with their contacts and delivered with accordance to the company values of the Santos Management System.
Key responsibilities include:
- Accountability for end-to-end procurement for the engines, reciprocating compressors, wellsite maintenance, lab services related to the Santos EAPNG asset with a portfolio of $80M/annum.
- Collaborate with stakeholders effectively and gain an understanding of the market to assist with developing strategic category plans for our Santos engines and compressors.
- Develop sourcing strategies and conduct sourcing activities (e.g. tenders) as required to support engines, compressors, wellsite maintenance and lab services.
- Develop negotiation plans in collaboration with stakeholders. Lead complex negotiations and coach negotiation teams to ensure a united approach.
- Manage contract performance of suppliers (inclusive of KPIs) within their respective categories.
- Align and educate internal Santos stakeholders on the performance of contractors.
- Deliver specific cost and business efficiency outcomes.
- Support procurement to pay activities within assigned procurement sub-categories.
- Manage variations, claims, and disputes. Liaise with related leadership team, and key stakeholders to manage company post contract award risks.
- Challenge the status quo with a strategic mindset and work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop cost effective ways for delivering the scope for these categories.
- Apply expertise and deliver plans that align with the company’s strategy.
- Adapt to change and have a performance mindset to achieve the desired outcomes of the culture.
- Understand the team’s purpose and tasks that need to be delivered.
- Upholds and ensures compliance with all company standards and procedures.
What you’ll bring:
- Significant experience of 10+ years in procurement specialising in category procurement of managing multi-year call-off style contracts
- Previous experience in oil and gas, mining or similar industry.
- Senior experience and expertise in Procurement, Category Management or Strategic Sourcing.
- Certificate or Member status of CIPS or equivalent (desirable).
- Ideally tertiary qualified with relevant undergraduate degree (desirable).
