Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Product Support Sales Manager from a background in big brand earthmoving equipment withing the mining sector, to lead their aftermarket sales function, from a residential basis in the DRC.
This role will be responsible for driving aftermarket sales, managing the full sales cycle, acting as the primary customer contact, ensuring strong relationships and delivering competitive, market-fit solutions for parts, service, and contracts.
Responsibilities:
- Direct product support sales activities.
- Lead the Product Support Sales team with strong customer presence.
- Develop and implement suitable sales strategies.
- Drive team performance across the full sales cycle.
- Collaborate with service and parts operations to secure business.
- Ensure achievement of sales margins, budgets, and forecasts.
- Act as the primary customer contact and relationship manager.
- Coaching, mentoring and training of team members including carrying out localization plans.
- Improve customer experience and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal teams to achieve revenue and margin targets and oversee key accounts management, product support and parts teams.
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
- 15+ years’ experience in product support roles, including 5+ years in management level positions.
- Proficient in English.
- French communication skills advantageous.
- Computer literate in MS Office.
- Strong understanding of product support operations and management principles.
- Experienced in sales and account management, including billing and cost control.
- Well-versed in contract management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, decision making and organisational skills.
- Focused on achieving goals with a strong commercial acumen and relationship-building ability.
- Committed to ensuring safety standards and manufacturer guidelines are adhered to.
- Ability to explain processes clearly and provide effective training to clients.
- Willing to travel extensively as required.
