BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY
The DBBU Production Engineering Supervisor will supervise and support the Production Project Engineers and Technologists. The Project Engineering team’s main responsibility is to provide advanced engineering support to the operations team in the Delaware Basin. Their primary focus is enhancing operating margins through innovative strategies and reliability advancement. This role requires a strong project management background and the ability to effectively lead analyzation of large datasets from multiple sources to assess the effectiveness of preventive maintenance programs and predictive analytics. The candidate will be expected to create a proactive environment for continuous improvement, contributing to the advancement of the DBBU PFIC Roadmap and achieving goals through collaboration with asset teams, base production, and field staff.

 

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (petroleum, chemical, mechanical, or civil)  

 

EXPERIENCE
Requires a minimum of 7 years of related Oil & Gas experience

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supervise a team to advance further the implementation of data analytics and machine learning techniques to handle large data sets from multiple sources, enhance artificial lift performance, streamline facility operations, and predict equipment failures to reduce downtime.

• Mentor and lead staff of engineers and techs with a focus on personnel development, accountability, teamwork, and technical skills.
• Prioritize, support, and monitor projects generated by engineering staff to enhance wedge and base production
• Liaison between the field team and engineering staff to ensure a full understanding of the roadmap and associated activity plan before implementation

• Ensure best operating practices and lessons learned are shared across Business Units and functions.
• Champion safety, environmental, and regulatory programs to ensure compliance and sustainability
• Collaborate in preparing annual production and expense budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and a focus on maintaining high asset integrity and reliability standards.

• Provide leadership in developing and maintaining positive relationships with field personnel, asset team members, service companies, landowners, and regulatory agencies to ensure cohesive operations and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Promote an interdisciplinary work environment that works beyond titles and encourages diversity of thought. 

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• This position is based in Oklahoma City.

• Oil and gas production engineering experience preferred
