Project Engineer

WRS are looking for a Project Engineer on behalf of a major Oil and Gas Operator to work in Algeria on a long term contract.This will be a 12-month renweable contract on a 4×4 rotation.
Job resonsibilities include:

1. Management of projects through the phases initiation, study, engineering, procurement up to hand over of installation packages.
2. Ensure the work is done in accordance with HSE and the Joint Venture (JV) procedural and technical requirements
3. Coordinate with Planning and Cost Control to ensure that an integrated cost and scheduling system is implemented, reviewed and followed up.
4. Ensure that all approvals for expenditure have been obtained.
5. Ensure the work is done in accordance with HSE and the Joint Venture (JV) procedural and technical requirements

The ideal candidate for this role will have

1. Engineering degree within either a Piping or Mechanical discipline
2. Minimum of 5 years experience as a discipline engineer in the gas / oil industry
3. Minimum of 4 years experience in project engineering
4. A track record in HSE Leadership, commitment and delivery is essential
5. English speaking, knowledge of French would be an advantage.
6. Previous expereince working for an operator
7. Expereince working in remote, desert locations. (Expereince in Algeria would be beneficial)
8. Expereince working in a JV opration.
