What role you will play in our team

• As a Project Engineer, you will be part of the Global Functional Expertise Team which provides early stage design guidance on commercial contruction projects and is the owner of workplace design guides and best practices.  Additionally, you will support benchmarking activity and helping the organization gain important external insights to help drive decision making and constant improvement
• The position will based on the world class ExxonMobil Campus located in Spring Texas.

What you will do

• Support commercial contruction project design and execution by providing quality control and consistency to project estimating
• Support internal and external benchmarking activity for the organization
• Screen projects requests for technical/economic viability
• Participates as team member for onsite project construction readiness reviews
• Assists Project Managers with tracking project execution deliverables according to ExxonMobil Project Management Systems
• Provides input to projects management review packs ensuring global consistency
• Ensure appropriate budget is established, P.O’s approved and funding released to the provider for Global Functional Expertise Team 
• Assists with the capture and sharing of project lessons learned 
• Ensure service quality and value delivery through use of effective metrics and work processes
• Provide industry economic insights on materials cost trends and emerging technology
• Oversee training and expand useage of project management software and other tools
• Coordinate workplace employee experience surveys to test customer satisfaction and help to improve workplace design concepts

About you

Skills and Qualifications

Must have: Bachelors of Engineering or Contruction Management Degree

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

• Early Career candidate or recent college graduate or 1-5 years Industry experience
• Construction management experience (subcontractor, general contractor, or consultant experience)
• General understanding of building systems with emphasis on HVAC and roofing
• Budget, estimating, and scheduling experience
• Understanding of construction drawings
• Project delivery skills including safety, cost and schedule control
• Experience with integrating technical codes and standards into design specifications
• Technical knowledge of building systems and equipment highly desirable
