Supports the purchasing / subcontracting activities performed by the EPC contractor and/or in-house procurement group, and ensures progression of aligned commercial strategies to drive schedule and capital efficiencies, while ensuring operational integrity in support of the Project Objectives & Strategies.
Job Role Responsibilities
BS in Engineering, Supply Chain, or other applicable business degree or minimum 3 years experience within procurement, manufacturing and/or logistics
Serve as project focal point for execution of equipment and material procurement, commercial valuation, award, expediting, logistics planning and execution, field materials management and EPC Subcontracting
Oversee EPC in of subcontracting activities (including ancillary service scopes), from bid list development, bidder qualification and contract award thru closeout
Support update of Project Materials Management Plan to incorporate project developments, engagement with FEED contractor, and additional detail around project logistics and materials management strategies
Extensive interaction with internal business clients to clarify requirements, agree on procurement tactic, e-mail and address queries and issues
Extensive interaction with external suppliers to negotiate and award contracts and address queries and issues
Preparing and reviewing Procurement Plans, Material Management and Subcontracting Plans (procurement tactic)
Preparing tenders, RFQ’s, sealed bids and related duties
Develop bid slate, package assembly, bid clarifications, conditioning, analysis/evaluation, award
Drives implementation of global and regional strategies/best practices at the business unit level
Other duties as required and determined by Department in accordance with applicable rules and regulations
SAP Knowledge or experience wih any Material Management System
Contracting , Contract Negotiation, Bid development and evaluation, Supplier Relationship Management, Excellent oral and written skills
