Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Project Site Manager to take overall responsibility for the delivery of a mineral processing project. The role will act as the primary interface between the client and the project team, overseeing engineering, procurement, material management, construction, commissioning, and project handover to ensure safe, timely, and cost‑effective execution. The Project Site Manager will provide strong on‑site leadership, manage subcontractors and daily activities, maintain high standards of quality and documentation, and ensure effective communication across engineering, design, and production teams. This position requires strong technical capability, proven project management experience, and the ability to work on rotation at remote international sites.
Responsibilities:
- Provide end‑to‑end oversight of procurement activities, materials management, engineering outputs, construction coordination, commissioning activities, and final project handover.
- Drive project execution to ensure delivery in line with agreed schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Act as the primary representative for Company in client progress meetings, clearly communicating updates, decisions, and follow‑up actions.
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate on‑site teams and subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient execution of works.
- Plan and assign daily work activities, monitoring productivity and performance of site personnel.
- Ensure all site works meet required quality, safety, and workmanship standards.
- Maintain control of all project documentation, including drawings, records, and files, to meet internal, project, and client requirements.
- Work closely with engineering, design, and production teams to ensure client requirements are fully understood, accurately documented, and effectively implemented.
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
- Engineering or Extractive Metallurgy qualification.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager on small projects or as an Assistant Project Manager / key contributor on medium‑scale turnkey or EPCM projects.
- Strong end‑to‑end project delivery experience across engineering, procurement, materials management, construction, commissioning, start‑up, and handover.
- Willing and able to work on rotation at remote international sites during installation phases.
