Job Description

NES Fircroft are working with a global Gold Miner to source a Construction / Projects Superintendent for an initial 6 month contract with possible extension. Play a key role in a Greenfield Mine Construction project to build a world class Mine Site.  As part of the leadership team, you will possess the desire to assist in the ongoing, site-based stakeholder engagement, to facilitate cooperation and alignment through strong relationship management between on site personnel.

We are seeking a highly collaborative leader to provide operational direction to the work teams ensuring resources, capacity and capability are aligned to the project plans. You will be safety focused, team oriented, enjoy continuous improvement and be willing to strive for results. Relationship building, drive and strategic thinking are second nature to you.

If you meet the following requirements, we want to hear from you:

  • A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering
  • Solid experience as a Construction Superintendent with large scale Mine Construction Projects
  • Can foster a “Zero Harm” safety culture
  • Provide leadership to those that you are responsible and accountable for, including managing performance and behaviour in the workplace
  • Assign planned work tasks and ensure work has adequate supervision so that it is undertaken safely in accordance with the site procedures and established plan
  • Ensure effective use of resources in order to avoid high wastage factors
  • Ensure all works operate within Site SHMS requirements e.g. Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Job Safety & Environment Analysis (JSEA’s)
  • Have strong interpersonal skills including stakeholder and contractor management
  • Perth, West Australia based with full Australian Working Rights
