Proposal Engineer – PV structures

Petroplan is working alongside a First Class international Company that deals with the development, construction and management of renewable energy assets and the marketing and post-sales assistance of products and equipment for the construction of renewable energy plants: mainly photovoltaic panels, inverters, structures for photovoltaic installation (fixed tilt and tracker), batteries and storage systems.

As part of the nascent group that will deal with the sale, distribution, installation, commissioning and post-sales management of structures for photovoltaic installations (rooftop, fixed, tracker and agri-voltaic) of a primary brand of structures for photovoltaic systems, leading globally, we are looking for a Proposal Engineer.

The sought-after figure will be part of the Operation team. The position offers important and rapid opportunities for professional growth as the team is newly established and the business unit dedicated to this newly established activity.

Main responsibilities:

  • Drafting of commercial proposals for the sale of the proposed solutions:
  1. definition of the customer’s needs and the characteristics of the plant to be built
  2. reporting of the information obtained to the engineering and sales team of the structure manufacturer in order to identify and engineer the most suitable solution for the customer from a technical, construction and installation timing and commercial point of view
  3. drafting the proposal (technical and economic) to the final Client
  • Support to the sales team for closing the order and/or personally managing the negotiation with the final Client
  • Support the logistics and operations team in shipping, installation and start-up of the sold solution
  • Support the sales team in promoting the product and generating sales opportunities by making presentations, training on the product, meeting customers etc.
  • Support the organization of the structure of Assistance Centers distributed throughout the territory for post-sales product management.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in sales and/or post sales teams of products and services for photovoltaic plants (coming from a production and/or installation company of photovoltaic trackers will be considered a plus)
  • Excellent sales and customer relationship skills
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate networks of external commercial agents
  • Demonstrated business development ability
  • Ability to work in a team and coordinate external resources
  • Excellent knowledge of English
  • Available for frequent travels in Italy
  • Knowledge of the Office package
