Missions / Responsibilities
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the following (non-exhaustive list):
- Coordinate all quantity-related activities, including verification of contractor-submitted dossiers.
- Estimate, verify, and anticipate quantities to ensure accurate material needs and cost control.
- Interface with internal stakeholders to understand contract requirements, execution methods, and cost structures.
- Participate in the management of risks, value engineering efforts, and cost control measures.
- Assess and value subcontractor works for interim and final payments.
- Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and quality standards.
- Monitor overall value delivery and cost efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide technical input and advice on change requests, remeasurable items, claims, counterclaims, and disputes.
- Contribute to project reporting and post-project Lessons Learnt consolidation.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Minimum Experience: 7 years in the oil & gas sector, working on EPC contracts with remeasurable structures.
- Education: Engineering or Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent background.
- Languages:
- English: Fluent (mandatory)
- French: Advanced (strongly recommended)
- Italian: Intermediate (a plus)
Key Competencies
- Strong mathematical, numerical, and data analysis capabilities.
- Expertise in claims management and contract administration.
- Experience in EPC project environments and package contract engineering.
- Ability to manage a high workload in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder context.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in quantity surveying and project management software/tools.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to assess project value.
- Skilled in influencing, coordination, and transversal project environments.
