BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY
This position will be developing and administering strategies for Devon’s real-time production systems focused on Drilling, Completions, and Production Operations.
 
EDUCATION
Bachelors degree preferred; experience considered in lieu of degree
 
EXPERIENCE
10 years of progressively responsible experience in real-time or SCADA environments
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design and deploy scalable real-time data architectures that serve the needs of Devon’s Drilling, Completions, and Production Operations teams.  
• Provide technical expertise in the identification, analysis, and resolution of real-time system problems.
• Develop and maintain documentation of existing real-time data systems and mentor junior team members.
• Work with operators, engineers, and digital security to research, develop, and implement enhancements to real-time data systems
• Provide periodic 24×7 on-call rotation support
• Work directly with vendors, contractors, and IT entities to troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Basic server administration and maintenance activities
    
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Thorough understanding of data management principles and how they apply to large scalable real-time environments. 
• Experience supporting multiple real-time systems including PI, Cygnet, and XSPOC. 
• Strong knowledge of field operation workflows, operations, and field devices. Prior field experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of network communications and SCADA protocols. (MQTT, Modbus, ROC)
• Demonstrated application of analytical and problem-solving skills to help the team identify, communicate, and resolve issues
• Commitment to safety and environment
• System administration experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of Visual Basic or C# preferred
