What role you will play in our team
- Lead company efforts to advance Ceramic and Refractory Material Technologies in support of global operations.
- Innovate Technology solutions to support corporate Low Carbon Solution objectives.
- Position is located in Spring TX, USA
What you will do
- Collaborate across diverse company teams and engage with external partners to identify innovative refractory and ceramic technologies.
- Evaluate refractory and ceramic material offerings for application in existing and emerging petrochemical applications.
- External industry engagement to advance industry standards for refractory and ceramics.
- Support all business line operations (Product Solutions, Upstream and Low Carbon Solutions) in the area of operational integrity and project development.
About you
Skills and Qualifications
- Applicant must possess a minimum B.S., and 5 -10 years relevant experience in field of Ceramic Engineering or Material Science with focus on Ceramic technology.
- Eligible to work in United States.
- Willingness and ability to travel globally.
- Ability and willingness to perform confined space entry.
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
- Field experience with petrochemical or heavy industry applications is highly preferred (steel making, cement, etc.).
- Experience in decarbonization processes for heavy industry is strongly preferred.
- Experience with refractory system design, inspection, and maintenance.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate novel ideas quickly and effectively.
- Experienced in leading new technology development and deployment.
- Ability to work independently and contribute as part of a multi-discipline team.
- Demonstrated relevant examples of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity and work experience in other non-metallic technologies (i.e., coatings, linings, polymers) is valued.
