Regional HSSE Advisor

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the overall management of the HSSE to ensure that the adheres to all relevant legislative, regulatory, and operational requirements.
• Responsible for the design, development, documentation, and implementation of all HSSE policies, procedures, and related forms, including emergency evacuation procedures, fire drill procedures, etc.
• Coordinates dissemination of HSSE policies and procedures to all employees, contractors, and vendors
• Facilitates HSSE awareness and training to all employees as required
• Maintain and review all aspects of the Risk Management system, on HSE Risk Registers and associated processes.
• Develops an HSSE Audit Plan in accordance with the OSH Act and Regulations
• Develops annual and quarterly HSSE Work Plans
• Monitor compliance with applicable Client requirements and HSSE legislation
• Follow-up and initiate proactive actions on HSSE-reported cases
• Perform Internal and External HSE audits according to program and follow up

REQUIREMENTS:

• Knowledge of HSE regulations and standards
• Internal or Lead Auditor Certification in ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 – Health, Safety & Environment System
• Experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, is an added advantage
• Safety training qualification e.g. NEBOSH
• Lead Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification is desirable
• Fluent English – oral and written. Effective communication to interact well with internal and external customers/suppliers.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
