Our greatest asset has been, and will continue to be, our people. We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Regulatory Analyst within our Rockies Regulatory Affairs group based in Denver, CO.
This position is responsible for working with numerous teams that support the DJ Basin Business Unit to plan and permit oil and gas locations and other special projects. This position is also responsible for helping to ensure the company is compliant with applicable state, federal and local oil and gas regulations.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Help to coordinate all permitting activities associated with drilling and operations of wells for assigned teams.
· Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to strategically plan and permit future oil and gas locations and operations in Colorado
· Coordinate and track the compilation of internal and external deliverables required for permit submissions to state, federal and local agencies
· Communicate and interpret rules and regulations for various project teams during the initial planning process
· Submit all required permits to applicable state, federal and local agencies and communicate updates to internal teams as necessary throughout the duration of agency permit reviews
· Ability to assist with the development of regulatory standards and procedures to ensure compliance with numerous state, federal and local regulations
· Ensure compliance with permit/code/rule requirements prior to upcoming operations; coordinate with operational teams to communicate and interpret mandatory permitting and regulatory requirements
· Ability to help plan and facilitate special permitting and/or compliance assignments
· Develop and maintain business relationships with key agency staff
· Drive and facilitate coordination and discussion with state, federal and local agency personnel. Demonstrate the ability to respond timely to agency questions and inquiries
· Represent the company and present at local and state hearings on specific oil and gas permitting projects
Qualifications
Qualifications –
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
· Minimum of 6+ years of oil and gas related experience or demonstrated knowledge of the industry
· Minimum of 3 years of oil and gas regulatory experience, specifically focused on the permitting of new wells
· Experience working with the Colorado Energy & Carbon Management Commission (ECMC)
· Strong Microsoft Office skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Strong attention to detail, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, perform and track, multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
· An understanding of how various disciplines and departments interact and how to recognize when to involve or inform those disciplines of activities and certain needs
· Strong problem-solving skills and self-motivation
· The ability to apply industry knowledge and experience to solve complex problems
· Excellent presentation skills: and the ability to present to a variety of audiences
· Strong project management, research, and reporting skills
· Flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic, multi-task, customer service environment
· Excellent time management skills
· Strong ethics, service attitude, team player

$78,000 – $134,000 | 0 – 50% |
