BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY
The Reservoir Tech will assist in performing varied tasks in direct support of the Rockies Business Unit Engineering staff, including the following responsibilities:
- Efficient compilation, manipulation and analysis of basic engineering and financial data
- Maintaining current information in budgeting & reserves databases
- Coordinate and work with IT to ensure data sources and links are correct and updated
- Monitor performance of forecasts, production and reserves
- Assist in preparation and iterations of year-end reserve reports
- Initiate Well Status Change Request (WSCR) and WBS when needed
- Monitor data input from field WellView, SAP and verify accuracy
- Work closely with field personnel and data management team to correct data problems
- Be able to identify and make recommendations for improving business processes using data
- Research well files in Wellview and maintain various databases and spreadsheets
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Bachelor’s Degree in Economics or Finance major, preferred
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 5 years performing required tasks
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Successful candidate will possess ability to timely review and revise various reports as dictated by changing requirements and business events and to be able to continually re-prioritize a multitude of tasks of varying technical levels
- Excellent computer skills with a high level of proficiency in Spotfire and Microsoft Office Suite products, specifically Access and Excel
- Experience working in the Oil and Gas industry
- Expert level proficiency with petroleum economics software (Mosaic, Aries, ComboCurve or other)
- Understanding of SEC reserve definitions
- Database management skills
- Willingness to continuously learn and keep up with changes in technology and regulations
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and quickly respond to data requests requiring immediate attention
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Bachelor’s Degree in Economics or Finance major, preferred
- The successful candidate must be highly motivated and willing to take on challenging projects that require attention to detail

- Ability to offer creative solutions to problems
- Energetic self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the flexibility to work extended hours on occasion
