Job Summary: 
Numerical study of effect of chemicals on Hydrogen diffusion and reactions in the underground reservoirs

Essential Responsibilities and Duties: 
It is known that geological storage of Hydrogen can result in some Hydrogen loss due to various mechanisms. This might be due to mechanical mechanisms like capillary trapping or due to heterogeneity of the formation. None-mechanical mechanisms include molecular diffusion and chemical reactions that can happen between injected hydrogen with CO2 and rock minerals. The purpose of this study is to investigate if the rate and amount of hydrogen loss can reduced and controlled by pre- or co-injection of chemicals. You will perform your simulation using INTERSECT.

Qualifications: 
MSc or PhD student, in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering or related field.

Competencies: 
Required skills:
–              Reservoir Engineering.
–              Reservoir Simulation.
