Rig Engineer

Location: Rio De Janeiro
The Rig Engineer is
focused on Performance Improvement and Asset Integrity, monitoring
performance and compliance, identifying gaps, collaborating with Internal and
External stakeholders, recommending and acting on improvements initiatives
and properly reporting.

•To make sure that you and your teamwork safe every day, every hour and every minute, no exception.
•Compliance with the Seadrill Code of Conduct.
•Compliance with applicable internal and external governing requirements.
•That any operations do not exceed the limitations of the unit or its equipment.
•Daily detailed planning is conducted for all upcoming operations.
•Good and clear communications with all involved parties.
•Compliance with Seadrill training, certification and competence requirements.
•That all relevant personnel are adequately trained in handling emergencies.
•That all emergency equipment is in good condition and configured as required.
•Non-compliances are promptly acted on and reported to the direct supervisor.
•Training and competence assessments as assigned and/or required are performed.
•Compliance with the standard for tidiness and cleanness.
•Assume the safety role as per station bill and emergency preparedness plan.
JOB SPECIFIC
Responsible for/ensure:
•Work with management and crew to maintain and improve compliance with all regulatory and customer requirements
•Key player to ensure consistency across rigs in meeting Seadrill Directives and requirements
•Oversight and quality assurance of all “pendencia” cases to ensure suitable follow-up, action and closure within required deadlines
•Promote and maintain an effective working relationship with other departments, third-party personnel and Customer Representatives
•Regularly meet to review performance with Offshore Leadership and Rig Management, providing support as required to achieve performance targets and leading indicator compliance.
•Capture best practice and lessons learned and propose fleet wide implementation
•General support during internal and external audits
•Report and control – accountable for creation of Synergi cases (Downtimes, NCs, MOCs etc.), and updating the client critical maintenance sheet (ODM)
Assist with:
• Preparation for future drilling operations.
• Achieving the safest and most efficient operation.
• Detailed planning for all upcoming operations.

EDUCATION
AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous offshore experience (minimum 2 years)
- Engineering Degree
- Fluency in English
