The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry or a compatible industry, with a strong understanding of risk management principles and techniques. The Risk Engineer will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing risks associated with various oil and gas projects.Key Responsibilities: Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management plans for oil and gas projects, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and specifications. Identify potential hazards and risks associated with oil and gas projects, and develop strategies to mitigate them. Work closely with project teams to ensure that risks are identified and managed throughout the project lifecycle.Develop and maintain risk registers and other documentation, tracking progress and reporting to management as required.Conduct risk analyses using quantitative and qualitative methods, and develop risk models to support decision-making.Evaluate the effectiveness of risk management strategies, and implement corrective actions as necessary. Provide technical support and advice to project teams, ensuring that risks are managed in accordance with company policies and procedures.Participate in technical meetings, forums, and industry events, keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in risk management techniques and technologies.Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Risk Management, or a related field preferred.3-5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry or a compatible industry, with a strong understanding of risk management principles and techniques.Knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and specifications related to risk management.Experience conducting risk assessments and developing risk management plans for oil and gas projects.Experience using risk analysis software and tools, and developing risk models to support decision-making.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address issues in a timely and effective manner.Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical audiences.Professional Engineering (PE) certification or other relevant certification is preferred.
