Job description
Airswift has been tasked by one of our key clients to seek a Supply Chain (SC) ESG Specialist to join them in Schiedam, the Netherlands. This is a staff position.
Accountabilities:
- Cross functional interaction with various functions/disciplines to embed our client’s ESG targets into Supply Chain activities
- Reports to Global SC Excellence Manager and supports in various interfaces with corporate ESG team and other functions/disciplines
- Take ownership of the partnership with reporting agencies such as CDP to obtain/analyze emission disclosures from vendor pool on an annual basis
- Ownership of Human Rights monitoring and screening for vendors
- Analyzing sustainability standards and frameworks and impact on SC activities
- Enhance ESG awareness within the SC community with workshops/awareness sessions as required by the business
- Reporting on ESG topics in liaison with SC Performance Manager
- Interface with appointed 3rd party consultants working with our client to support emission Zero targets
- Ownership of internal and external ESG audits as and when they are planned
Requirements:
- Relevant University Degree
- 5 years min working experience in handling ESG/Sustainability related topics
- Good working knowledge/exposure in implementation of the following:
- Green House Gas Protocol
- UN Sustainable Development Goals
- Global Reporting Initiative
- Climate related financial disclosures
- EU Taxonomy
- Circularity indexing measurements methodologies
- Science Based Targets
- Other relevant climate change questionnaires (S&P etc)
- Supply Chain experience is not a must – but preferred
- Previous work in Energy sector preferred
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate to actions
- Working accurately and diligently/Experience with [non]-financial reporting and associated systems
- Experience with an international ESG/ Sustainability/ financial audit firm
- Stakeholder management and coordination skills
- Excellent knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and good working knowledge of other MS Office software – e.g. Access and Projects;
- Excellent English skills, both written and verbally.
