Job Description

Scope

• Ensure adherence to legal and contractual accounting standards
• Organize general accounting and preparation of reporting
• Define and ensure the implementation of accounting procedures and tools
• Perform and support colleagues to perform the financial activity of all legal entities registered in Azerbaijan, consolidated (CAP), Statutory and Tax reporting
• Perform required activities related with upcoming production phase of the Project

• Responsible for data with conformity to IFRS, PSA, JOA and Azerbaijani Tax legislation
• Be focal point for communication with corporate and functional teams to understand and deliver necessary accounting requirements
• Represent the company with third parties (partners, statutory auditors, etc)
• Implement agreed company procedures relating to accounting activities and propose improvement
• Interpret and apply new financial/fiscal legislation, and communication to management
• Responsible for all accounting ledgers

• Perform the asset accounting and annual inventory reporting
• Support the service provider on re-invoicing, payment and required clarification with ref to the Operator of Absheron Project
• Support HR and Banking teams and optimize the department work (high efficiency and reliability of reports)
• Liaison with JV/Corporate/Group/Tax auditors, defending the company’s position with third parties (e.g. statutory auditors)
• Prepare the accounts reconciliation and other analysis to meet the requirements of the internal control policies and in accordance with SOX requirements

Candidate profile

Required profile:

• High school graduation in Accounting / Finance / Economics
• Professional experience at Oil & Gas major companies for more than 5 years
• Deep knowledge of
  • Accounting Rules / Local & PSA taxes;
  • Local and International Accounting Standards (IFRS) 
  • Joint-venture accounting and oilfield contracts
  • SAP
  • Excel, Power BI
• Fluent in English and Azerbaijani
• Self-organized and responsible with strong analytical & synthetical skills and team spirit
