What you can expect

>
Strategy – support the Team Lead Procurement Surface in developing relevant Procurement category and subcategory strategies, monitor supplier markets, create demand forecasts, analyze spend, assess suppliers, identify and act on opportunities for added value;  
Sourcing/Contracting – implement activities defined in the relevant category strategies, including agreeing final specifications and setting commercial conditions, define critical performance factors, manage tender processes, evaluation of proposals, conducting final negotiations up to contract award and preparation of standard contract templates for the respective categories;  
Project Procurement Coordinator for larger projects and operations as a part of the project organization: establish project procurement strategy, coordinate between project and procurement organization, support smooth project organization as first point of contact and search solutions for the appearing supply chain relevant project issues, manage non-conformities;
BU Germany Coordination – set up a clear and frequent presence of Procurement within operations, communicate Procurement strategies within BU Germany;
Contract Management – execute and manage contracts, ensure contract performance and adherence to contractual conditions, contract variations/amendments; handle disputes and claims;
Supplier Relationship Management – manage supplier relationships; monitor supplier performance, support the drive for continuous improvement and/or supplier development, collect supplier feedback, reduce the cost of poor quality and non-productive time (NPT), optimize Procurement processes.

What we expect

>

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field of study (business, engineering, law) or equivalent experience 
  • At least 4 years of experience in a strategic buyer position (procurement/supply chain) or alternatively solid experience in procurement and contract management
  • Proactive team player; solution-oriented; self-motivated; very good communication and interpersonal skills  
  • Analytical and systematic way of working  
  • Knowledge of the E&P business, extensive knowledge of surface equipment and services is an advantage
  • Intercultural awareness (working with stakeholders in different business areas)
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of success
  • Fluent in English and German (verbal and written).
  • High willingness to travel
