As a Senior Engineer, Automation & Control, Service Engineering, you will be responsible for:
- Providing on-site and remote technical support for instrumentation, automation and control systems during installation and commissioning phases of projects.
- Responding to internal and external customer requests for technical issue resolution, using technical product knowledge and analytical skills while adhering to sound engineering principles, standards, practices, procedures. Escalate issues as required, acting as the liaison between field and design engineering to drive specific technical resolution and to help engineering identify, drive corrective actions.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with customers to make customer technical issues/requirements understood and addressed in a timely manner.
- Leading and programing manage root cause analysis/investigation activities for product technical issues. Interface with Product Service, System and Design Engineering teams, providing technical leadership to personnel supporting project assigned to resolve customer technical issues.
- Preparing technical presentations for BH Leaders and Customers ensuring the timely communication of significant issues or developments.
- Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards during all phases of work.

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics/Electrical or equivalent Engineering degree from an accredited college or university.
- Have knowledge and hand-on experience on GE Control Systems like MarkVIe, MarkVIeS SIL System, Proficy Machine Edition, PLCs, DCS etc..
- Ability to interpret the Control logics and troubleshoot Operational issues of the Systems.
- Have experience in interpreting Engineering & Technical documents like Process & instrument diagrams (P&ID), Wiring diagrams etc..
- Have minimum 8 years of technical experience on Control systems and Rotating machinery working at Project sites.
- Have availability to work during weekends for emergency technical support.
- Have Knowledge on any of the Baker Hughes or equivalent OEM Products or Technologies such as Aeroderivative Or Heavy duty Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines or Motor driven Centrifugal compressors.
- Passionate and enthusiastic to work in fast paced, challenging and dynamic environment.
- Have Fluency in English with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Have Engage proactively, ability to influence others and lead small teams.
- Have Flexibility to travel to different sites as per business requirement
Desired Characteristics
- Experience in a matrix leadership environment
- Prior experience in a design engineering or field maintenance /customer service facing role.
- Ability to communicate effectively both to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work well with teams and communicate requests and requirements clearly.
- Experience working in global, matrix organization & ability to make timely and sound decisions based on data.
- Able to interface effectively with all levels of an organization and demonstrated leadership to pursue correct engineering actions in adverse conditions or situations.
- Self-starter with strong technical and analytical skills
- Strong technical aptitude & problem-solving skills including awareness of applicable engineering tools and systems.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
