Senior Engineer – Projects (Piping and Mechanical)

Petrofac is currently looking to recruit a Senior Project Engineer (Piping & Mechanical) based in Muscat Oman.

Scope of Responsibilities

-Supervise a team of project engineers in carrying out procurement activities related to Pipping, Pipeline and Mechanical orders in compliance with tender specifications and within budgeted man-hour and project schedule.

-Coordinates the interfaces between the Engineering team and site Project management team.

-Attend all key project and vendor meetings and minute where required by the PM or EM Monitors the procurement progress, addresses shortfalls, assists in developing recovery plans where required and ensures plans are implemented. Provides feedback to project control team.

-Attends project progress review meetings and ensures that associated reports are compiled and distributed accordingly.

-Ensures that interface issues between disciplines are addressed and seeks management advise and assistance where required.

-Capable of formulating resolutions to technically challenging and/or high-profile issues with support from Engineering/ Project personnel and resolving with Project Management and Client.

Competencies/Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Extensive working experience in Mechanical, Piping, and pipeline procurement activities

Minimum Requirement

  Minimum of 10 years oil industry experience directly related to delivery management and supply chain of Mechanical, Piping, and pipeline.
