Context & Environment
TotalEnergies Gas & Power North America (TGPNA) is TotalEnergies’ U.S. trading affiliate, responsible for marketing and trading, transportation, storage, exports, and other commercial activities that support the Company’s U.S. energy portfolio. This portfolio includes natural gas, natural gas liquids (NGLs), a rapidly expanding power business, and environmental products, all of which play a critical role in advancing TotalEnergies’ integrated global energy strategy.
Natural gas and power are central to the energy transition and are key drivers of TotalEnergies’ vision for a more sustainable, diversified, and lower-carbon energy mix. Natural gas and LNG remain strategic priorities, serving as flexible and reliable sources of power generation that help decarbonize electricity and industrial operations while complementing renewable energy sources by addressing their intermittent nature. At the same time, power has become a core pillar of the Company’s business, with TotalEnergies rapidly expanding its U.S. electricity portfolio across the entire value chain.
Natural gas liquids are also essential to the Company’s operations, providing critical feedstocks for the petrochemical industry and supporting TotalEnergies’ strategy to strengthen its presence across the energy value chain. These products enable the production of intermediates and materials used in a wide range of everyday consumer and industrial goods. In addition, environmental products support the Company’s transition to a lower-carbon future while helping optimize and balance its broader energy portfolio.
The Gas, Renewables & Power (GRP) segment serves as a key market access platform for TotalEnergies, delivering commercial solutions and expertise across structuring, risk management, market analysis, and customer engagement. Within GRP, the U.S. Gas Origination Team operates as part of the Trading, Market Access, and Proprietary Trading organization. Working in a dynamic and highly competitive energy market, the team plays a vital role in sourcing opportunities, developing commercial relationships, and supporting the Company’s ambition to become a leading multi-energy provider focused on the energies of the future.
