Senior Geophysicist

Job Description

Subsurface Global is currently recruiting for a Senior Geophysicist for a UK based E&P company.

This will be a 12 month PAYE contract and can be based in either Aberdeen or London.  

Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.

Summary:

• Candidates must have a track record of judicious application of geophysics knowledge and skills, preferably including development projects, with experience in:
• Seismic interpretation (in Petrel) particularly in deep water and shallow water clastic environments
• Seismic-well ties
• Depth conversion and uncertainty analysis
• Seismic stratigraphic techniques
• Knowledge and recent experience in planning and building structural geomodels.
• Must have an excellent understanding of the integration of geophysics with other disciplines including geology, petrophysics, reservoir engineering, drilling, completions and production technology.
• Recent experience in using Petrel for interpretation and advanced/expert level command of Petrel’s seismic interpretation utilities
