Senior Planner

We are Seaway7, a diverse group of team players, change makers and leaders in the delivery of offshore wind projects. What we do makes a difference to our planet and the future, by bringing sustainable, renewable energy to the world.

We are looking for a Senior Planner to join our team at our Oslo, Norway office on a full-time staff basis.

As a Senior Planner, you are supporting two of recently won projects by making schedules and associated reporting’s. These projects consists of laying cables with extensive related foundations works and substations installations with our state-of-the-art vessels. A historical vessels database is maintained by the planning department and together with the technical know-how as a Planner you have a major responsibility in establishing the offshore installation schedules of Seaway’s installation vessels.

Besides to being part of one of the project or tender teams, you are also part of the Planning Team within the Contracts and Project Control department. Our Planning Team consists of a total of 5 planners and a planning manager, who are working in our other offices in Zoetermeer (Netherlands) and Leer (Germany).

 

What you will be doing

  • Senior project planner and planning focal point for two of our recently won Projects
  • Proactively identify schedule risks and opportunities and engage with relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintaining and developing progress monitoring, forecasting and dashboards in both PowerBI and Primavera P6 to support project performance measurements and to engage stakeholders.
  • Preparing planning related reports such as narratives and status reports
  • Preparing reporting’s to substantiate claims
  • Preparing planned versus as-built, hindcasting and lessons learnt
  • Representing Seaway 7 with planning related matters to Clients and Subcontractors
  • Travel to our vessels during the offshore execution and visit our various offices in other countries.
  • Any ad-hoc duties as required

 

What you will bring to the team

  • Minimum a bachelor’s degree in a technical direction (BSc.), preferably Industrial Engineering, Maritime Technology, Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of planning experience.
  • Experience with planning software Primavera P6
  • Skills in all Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel).
  • Affinity with Power Pivot and PowerBI are advantageous.
  • Eager to learn about our specific offshore business and associated planning methods
  • A team player with a proactive and positive attitude.
  • Organizational qualities.
  • Advanced communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
