Are you passionate about the energy market transformations and seeking an opportunity to be at the forefront of cutting-edge projects? Look no further! I’m recruiting a Senior Planner for a global leading engineering contractor on a permanent staff basis working out of either their London or Milton Keynes offices 3 days a week, 2 from home. You would play a pivotal part in supporting on major oil & gas projects.

Key Responsibilities: Senior Planner

– Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for tender, project, and EPC phases, incorporating engineering expertise and industry norms.

– Prepare a comprehensive Schedule Basis Memorandum, outlining the logic and assumptions behind project schedules.

– Contribute to planning deliverables and project reporting, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project goals.

– Serve as a subject matter expert for planning in engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.

– Continuously maintain project schedules to reflect the actual status of work, ensuring adherence to scheduling control and progress reporting procedures.

– Conduct regular reviews of critical activities, proposing and implementing corrective actions as needed.

– Generate and update weekly/monthly progress reports and dashboards for effective project monitoring.

– Perform qualitative and quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) using industry-standard software packages.

– Support change management processes, contribute to claim evaluations, and conduct what-if scenario simulations.

– Establish and maintain planning, schedule, and productivity Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

 

Key Requirements: Senior Planner

– Proven proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office.

– Schedule risk modelling software experience (Deltek, Safran, Primavera Risk or similar)

– Substantial experience in EPC LSTK and progress measurement methods.

– Degree in Engineering or a related discipline (desirable)

– Diverse experience in oil and gas projects across various disciplines and project phases.

– Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

– Excellent written verbal and communication skills.
