Job Description:

One of our longstanding clients is seeking an experienced and results-driven Service Supervisor to lead field service and workshop teams supporting heavy mining and earthmoving equipment across mining operations in Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising maintenance activities, ensuring equipment reliability and availability, driving operational excellence, and maintaining strong customer relationships while adhering to the highest safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance, repair, and inspection activities on customer sites and in workshops.
• Ensure maximum equipment availability and reliability through effective maintenance planning and execution.
• Monitor and control work order completion, quality of repairs, and service delivery standards.
• Support fault diagnosis and troubleshooting of complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
• Ensure compliance with HME maintenance procedures and technical specifications.
• Manage equipment commissioning, preventative maintenance, breakdown response, and field service interventions.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of technicians, artisans, and field service personnel.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with mining clients and key stakeholders.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with all HSE standards.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

Diesel Mechanics, Earthmoving Equipment Mechanics, Heavy Equipment Mechanics

Millwright, Auto Electrical or related discipline

• Additional Technical Diploma or Engineering Qualification will be advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience maintaining heavy earthmoving or mining equipment.
• At least 2-3 years’ experience in a supervisory or team leadership role.
• Experience working in mining, construction, quarrying, or heavy equipment environments.
• Previous HME or dealer experience is highly desirable.
