As a Shop/Plan Operator Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- During machining operations (milling and inspection), the operator will complete item inspection plans, identify materials, and perform preliminary inspections of parts in accordance with applicable specifications
- During machining and inspection operations, the operator will be responsible for the workstation and for compliance with production line management rules
- The operator will be asked to suggest improvements to their activities, in accordance with the company’s continuous improvement program
- They will participate in weekly discussions on safety and quality issues within their team (Safety & Quality Talk).
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have a high school diploma (preferably a Mechanical Engineer)
- Have referenced experience in mechanical milling
- Demonstrate knowledge of Baker Hughes products Knowledge of boring/milling using CNC machines
- Be available to work shifts (including weekends, if necessary)
- Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret drawings/technical specifications
- Be proficient in using precision measuring tools
- Be computer literate (Excel, Word, email, etc.)
- Demonstrate teamwork and flexibility
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail.
