The position
By joining our team in Marketing, Midstream & Processing you will have the opportunity to:
- Enable safe growth in shuttle tanker and offshore loading activities in Brazil. Advise on risk level for various business build activities.
- Lead improvement activities related to offshore loading operations.
- Be responsible for technical evaluation of third party FPSO interface towards Equinor shuttle tanker fleet.
- Be responsible for technical evaluation of time charter shuttle tankers and third-party shuttle tankers that will lift from Equinor operated FPSOs.
- Support field development projects on offshore loading related topics. Provide input to lifting agreements and field manuals.
- Participate in potential newbuilding projects. Develop requirements and evaluate tender documents.
- Preparation for operation of shuttle tankers coming into operation for Equinor.
- Provide technical and regulatory support within tankers and offshore loading operations.
- Be responsible for building and maintaining professional network in Brazil. Active internal and external stakeholder engagement.
- Participate in some travel activities must be expected to attend relevant tests, trials, conferences, etc.
You

- Nautical studies or relevant engineering degree preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant work experience required.
- Relevant operational experience as a Captain or Chief Officer or Chief Engineeer onboard shuttle tankers is a benefit.
- Extensive experience and knowledge from shuttle tanker operations and offshore loading systems in Brazil.
- Knowledge of shuttle tanker operations, procedures, and requirements from the North Sea is also beneficial.
- Extensive experience and knowledge of maritime rules, regulations, standards, and operational procedures in Brazil.
- Experience in project management and newbuilding projects is beneficial.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Portuguese language proficiency is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate and communicate internally and externally, and to contribute to a positive working environment.
- Ability to work independently as the single Ship Technology resource in Brazil.
- Ability to work in line with Equinor’s values, with a strong commitment to safety and compliance.
