Santos
At Santos, we do work that matters and always have. When you join us, so will you.
As an ASX 20 global energy company, we’re committed to providing reliable and affordable energy to help create a better world for everyone.
To make it happen, we work as One Team and ask ourselves, “How can we?” (Even when others say, “We can’t.”)
We’re proud of our history as pioneers, problem-solvers, and pragmatists. And as we strive to achieve our Vision2040, we’ve got our sights set on a culture that is focussed and disciplined to drive value, and entrepreneurial and energised to leave a positive legacy.
The difference isn’t just thinking big – it’s delivering on it too.
As part of the team, you’ll tackle one of the most complex problems of our time. It’s no easy task, but nothing rewarding ever is.
What you’ll do:
We’re looking for a proactive and highly organised Site Access and Approvals Adviser to support our Onshore CSG Development team. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage and prioritise multiple stakeholder requests and enquiries.
Based in the Santos Brisbane office, this role is a 13-month Max Term Contract.
You’ll be responsible for identifying, tracking, and securing all required internal and external approvals to keep projects on schedule. The role focuses on four key areas: managing approval groups timeline expectations, supporting project schedules, engaging with various stakeholders, and identifying opportunities for improvement across the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and organising all approvals needed for development projects.
- Tracking approvals from project initiation through to completion, including land access, environmental, cultural heritage and third-party approvals.
- Monitoring deadlines and following up to prevent delays.
- Working closely with different/various teams to ensure approvals are progressing as planned.
- Coordinating all documentation, ensuring all stakeholders are updated on progress and estimated timelines.
- Communicating clearly, sharing information across teams, and contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.
This role suits someone highly organised, proactive, and confident working with multiple stakeholders.
What you’ll bring:
This role requires a willingness to learn, strong administrative capability, excellent attention to detail, and a demonstrated ability to track and manage multiple approvals, submissions and deadlines at the same time. Your communication skills are a key strength, allowing you to effectively engage with internal teams, external stakeholders, regulators and third parties.
We’re looking for someone confident in coordinating across disciplines and proactively following up to keep approvals progressing on schedule. The ideal candidate is eager to dive into and understand statutory approval requirements and feels comfortable working within regulatory frameworks—particularly in cultural heritage, environmental, or land access contexts.
What you’ll get:
Here, you’ll be amongst high-calibre people and get to work on industry-leading projects. We don’t shy away from solving tough problems at pace. We like it that way. You can expect to be challenged and supported; to learn and grow.
At Santos, we’re committed to creating a workplace where everyone can thrive. This means a place that is safe; where you are valued and respected, and your contribution is recognised and appreciated. Join us, and you’ll play a role in this too.
Each of our sites offer access to specific amenities that aim to create the best possible benefits to your health, wellbeing and performance. In Brisbane, this includes Onsite Gym facilities, Onsite GP services and many more employee benefits
What you’re part of:
Everywhere you turn you will be a part of a team who are coming together to contribute to our single uniting purpose – to provide reliable and affordable energy to help create a better world for everyone
And because it’s not only what you do, but how you do it, you will also contribute to improving the living standards of the communities where we operate, building enduring and respectful relationships that serve a generation. It’s about each of us, and all of us – together.
How to Apply:
Applications must be submitted via the online recruitment system by 12th July 2026.
