As a Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all on-site activities across various projects. You will lead project teams, ensure alignment with planning and safety protocols, and serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. Your leadership will ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and at the expected level of quality and safety.

Project Preparation

  • Receive work assignments from the Production Manager and clarify any uncertainties.
  • Gather necessary drawings, sketches, and documentation for the team.
  • Align daily planning with the Production Manager and fellow supervisors.
  • Provide technical feedback to project management regarding feasibility and execution.

Project Execution

  • Coordinate work across multiple teams on-site (20+ employees).
  • Prepare and schedule project tasks with input from team leaders.
  • Provide clear instructions and daily direction to crews.
  • Resolve operational or technical challenges as they arise.
  • Monitor progress against the project plan and intervene when needed.
  • Liaise with client representatives and classification surveyors during execution and inspections.
  • Maintain quality standards and perform regular inspections.
  • Report progress and coordinate with subcontractors when necessary.

Leadership & People Management

  • Directly manage 3 team leaders and indirectly oversee around 20 staff members.
  • Monitor planning, quality, and team performance, and adjust accordingly.
  • Conduct performance and evaluation meetings with staff.
  • Coach team members on working methods, safety, and the proper use of tools and machinery.
  • Act as first point of contact for absenteeism and staff-related matters.
  • Approve working hours for accurate time registration.

Safety & Compliance

  • Perform risk assessments on job sites.
  • Enforce safety procedures and ARBO (working conditions) compliance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of safety and working practices.

Communication & Coordination

  • Maintain daily communication with team members regarding tasks, safety, and discipline.
  • Coordinate with other supervisors and the Production Manager about planning and personnel.
  • Communicate regularly with the client, subcontractors, and classification surveyors.
  • Liaise with purchasing, warehousing, and project management regarding materials and documentation.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role in a technical, industrial, or construction environment.
  • Strong planning, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Confidence in reading technical drawings and understanding project plans.
  • Fluent in both Dutch and English (German is a plus).
  • A hands-on, proactive leadership style with a safety-first mindset.

Decision-Making Authority

  • Prioritize site activities in consultation with the Production Manager.
  • Take corrective action when progress or quality deviates from the plan.
  • Request resources and suggest staffing changes based on project needs.
  • Manage personnel issues in coordination with HR and leadership.
