Looking for an Experienced Java Developer who is interested to switch over ETRM (Energy Trading & Risk Management) domain by working as a Endur Application Developer. Endur is a ETRM application which we (at Shell) use for our Trading and Supply Business widely.
If you are interested to switch over this domain, you will get trained through our Internal Endur Training academy to learn about ETRM domain and Endur application through our Internal classroom training.
After the training, you will be required to learn and work as Endur Developer through On the Job practical learning and expected to work as an Independent Endur Developer in the next 6 months.

Shell Energy has significant growth ambitions over the coming years. In order to meet our company’s growth and decarbonisation targets, we are embarking on a major programme of work to modernise our Energy Trading Risk Management System (ETRM) platform.
This multi-year programme will initially involve the replacement of old, legacy ETRM systems in Europe and North America. Our intent is to implement new cloud hosted (Azure) Endur systems, utilising the latest in streaming data technologies and system integration and connectivity methodologies. At the same time, we need to support our growing Asian and Australian gas and power businesses and our world leading LNG trading businesses by sustaining and enhancing our current version 19 Endur system. (Replace with the US-EU global aspects, foundational work etc).
We are looking for ETRM specialists seeking a significant challenge and an opportunity to grow their careers as part of a team intent on pushing the boundaries of ETRM systems. More of modern agile, CI/CD to Endur/ETRM implementations –> high quality, simple to maintain solution, reducing time for upgrades, testing, new releases etc
Technology Requirements
We’re looking for individuals with 4-6 years work experience.
Must have a strong object-oriented development background with understanding and experience of concepts like dependency injection and test-driven-development.
Must have experience following a structured CI/CD process to ensure standards and processes are uniformly upheld.
Java (ideally version 8+) – Minimum 4+ Years of working experience
Multi-threading
Test Driven Development using Junit
Maven
Logging frameworks
Apache libraries
GOF Patterns
SOLID Principles
Good understanding of SQL Scripting (preferably Oracle)
Understanding of CI/CD processes
