Description of our SPEAD-Programme for E&P Data Scientists
  • Be part of the Wintershall Dea digital and technology strategy and help drive its digital transformation throughout the organization
  • Support Wintershall Dea’s Exploration & Production (E&P) projects in creating customized Data Science solutions in a team. Gain experience in coding and project management
  • Work with Data & Information Management, IT and E&P industry experts to identify Data Science opportunities & solutions. Make the most out of our Petabytes of data
  • Build Data Science pipelines, workflows and AI solutions that help to improve our sustainability, safety, operational, and financial performance throughout the entire E&P life-cycle
  • Contribute to the development of innovative digital tools and the application of new technologies
  • Communicate key metrics and results to international cutomers & stakeholders
  • Promote the Wintershall Dea “Data Science citizenship programe”

  • Master’s degree, equivalent or PhD, in data science or related fields like, mathematics, science or engineering
  • University study in a reasonable time frame and demonstrable academic achievement
  • At least one E&P relevant internship 
  • Fluent written and spoken English language skills
  • International experience (internship / study abroad, school exchange program)
  • Strong developed social, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for new technologies, new ways of working & innovative thinking. Programming experience
  • High flexibility and willingness to work internationally
