The Role: Our client, a prominent engineering company, is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer with a strong background in greenfield Low Voltage Power distribution detailed engineering. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role, having worked within the engineering sector for at least 5 years. The primary focus of this role is to contribute to offshore platform design, HV substations design, and detailed engineering of electrical LV systems.

Responsibilities:

• Execute greenfield Low Voltage Power distribution detailed engineering.
• Design offshore platform layouts and HV substations.
• Prepare specifications, Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), and attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for electrical LV systems such as MCC, switchgear, and UPS systems.
• Conduct Electrical System Studies and Coordination studies.
• Develop cable lists, LV distribution block diagrams, small power/lighting/earthing layouts, termination diagrams, installation typical hookups, and mounting typicals.
• Ensure compliance with National and International codes, including IEC, ANSI, IEEE, ISO, NFPA, NEMA, API, etc.
• Familiarity with ETAP, E3D, and Smart Plant instrumentation.

Qualifications:

• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the engineering industry.
• At least 4 years of experience in a similar position.
• Expertise in greenfield Low Voltage Power distribution detailed engineering.
• Proficiency in preparing electrical detailed design deliverables.
• Knowledge of MV and HV power distribution systems.
• Familiarity with LV distribution systems such as LV switchgear, UPS systems, LV distribution boards.
• Conversant with National and International codes: IEC, ANSI, IEEE, ISO, NFPA, NEMA, API, etc.
• Familiarity with ETAP, E3D, and Smart Plant instrumentation.
