Job activities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Generalist legal consultancy including, but not limited to matters related to corporate, regulatory, compliance, contracts, among others;
  • Legal advice to the group’s leadership in Latin America (primarily Brazil), through strategic advice, including legal risk analysis in all legal matters.
  • Monitoring of legal entities and due regularizations in Brazil and other countries of Latin America.
  • Monitoring of administrative and legal claims. Reviews and discussion of contingency reports regarding cases in progress with external law firms, as well as negotiation of their contracts, when applicable and management of outside counsels.
  • Monitoring of Industrial Property issues, providing advice on the topic and representation of the group in the face of INPI’s administrative demands, including patent applications and registrations and their licensing contracts.
  • Work in partnership with the Compliance team, mainly to support monitoring and investigation of Compliance cases, reported through reporting channels and interaction with the regional Compliance team.
  • Application of new contractual templates and dissemination to priority audiences. Review of real estate contracts in Brazil, Argentina and other regions of Latin America in support of Real State & Facilities teams, including renewals and terminations;
  • Review and creation of internal procedures applicable to the Legal Operations team and other internal clients
  • Preparation and review of internal dashboards showing status on trends and savings related to relevant litigation.
  • Representation of the group in meetings of sector associations relevant to the operation.
  • Training to different internal stakeholders, according to audiences of exposure
  • Location: Rio de Janeiro

 

Requirements:

 

  • Degree in Law;
  • Advanced English (and Spanish preferably)
  • Postgraduate or MBA in Law
  • Experience in corporate, civil and regulatory law (preferably). Additional experience in the advisory, litigation and contractual areas. Generalist profile.
