The Staff Marketing Accountant conducts and documents moderately complex downstream marketing accounting tasks under general supervision. Analyzes and records accounting transactions related to downstream marketing functions. Collaborates with Marketing, Revenue Accounting, and multiple internal and external counterparties.



Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Accounting preferred



3+ years of related industry experience in accounting; oil and gas industry experience preferred



  • Continue to develop an understanding of the principles, theories, and concepts of accounting and apply them to assignments such as preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis of financial data
  • Continue to develop an understanding of the downstream marketing environment and demonstrate initiative in seeking additional responsibility and gaining knowledge beyond core responsibilities – striving to understand the “big picture”
  • May assist in developing and promoting sound recommendations that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the department
  • Other duties as assigned



  • SAP/Allegro/Horizon experience preferred
  • Basic Microsoft 365 skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Able to prioritize and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks and manage deadlines
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong analytical and evaluation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Oil and Gas Industry Experience Preferred
  • Practice safe work habits at all times
